Supporting the development of biochar applications and fostering its long-term success. The industry association:

Supports the development of a Indonesian biochar and pyrolysis industry, particularly by eliminating / alleviating market entry barriers

Is committed to the principles of sustainable production with regional raw material as well as to adhere to strict environmental standards.

Promotes the use of biochar in large scale, in order to achieve meaningful contributions to carbon sequestration and thus to mitigate climate change.

Capturing carbon inside Biochar can help us achieve the critical goal of removing billions tons of CO2 annually by 2030. Indonesia alone has at least 200 million tons of crop residue that can be turned into biochar and then put back into the soil to help improve crop yields and farmers livelihoods.
